¡Feliz  viernes clase! Our activities on the blog will be in the green box located below. Read the activity and follow its instructions. When you are ready to answer the questions required, scroll down to the bottom of the blog page and click on add comment. Type your answers in the box that pops up and at the end of your answers, include your name. You MUST have your name in the comments box or you will NOT receive credit for your work. This is just like putting your name on your paper! ALSO, you must click anonymous from the check boxes listed below the comments box, since the comments are submitted to me for review and not published. If you leave the box for Google ID checked, your answers will be lost in space for all eternity (until you redo it!). Finally, you will be required to type in the random letters or words given at the bottom of the comments box to verify that you are not a robot. If you have ANY questions, please let me know!
Be reminded that you lose participation points when you are caught on YouTube, Facebook, Twitter, and similar sites. You may listen to music on a site like www.grooveshark.com that does NOT have videos and you must have headphones or earbuds. If music starts to interfere with your ability to complete your work or stay on task, you will lose that privilege.
Activity:
President Obama’s trip to Colombia was overshadowed by the Secret Service Sex Scandal, which has been in the headlines for weeks now. However, much has been overlooked by the media regarding his trip. Using google, research President Obama’s trip and tell me 1. What city did he go to in Colombia? 2. Why did he go there? 3. What was his position regarding the Falkland Islands? If you have any problems finding the answers, ask me or a classmate for help! When you are done, you may work on your Chapter 6 Spelling Contract! ¡Buena suerte!

Go to www.wikipedia.org and find the article on Hugo Chavez, the President of Venezuela. Read over the article and then in the comments box, tell me when he was born and when he became president. Then, google Hugo Chavez In Cuba to find recent news articles about his travel to Cuba. Why has he gone there? When you have answered these questions, go back to Wikipedia or the CIA World Factbook to learn more about Venezuela.
